What is Clearpay?
Clearpay is a safe and secure payment service that lets you spread the cost of your bedding purchases over four affordable, interest-free instalments. You’ll make the first payment upon checkout, and receive credit for the remaining payments which will be payable every two weeks over a six week period.
Originally launched in Australia in 2014, Clearpay now operates globally, and more than 100,000 digital retail partners around the world have adopted the ‘buy now, pay later’ platform.
Who can use Clearpay?
To purchase your bedding with Clearpay, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Live in the UK with a UK billing address
- Have a verifiable email address and phone number
- Pay with a UK bank card
- Have a verifiable ID
If you have an international address, you’ll unfortunately not be eligible to buy now, pay later using Clearpay.
How does Clearpay work?
Clearpay lets you make purchases in four separate interest-free instalments, payable every two weeks. For example, if your total purchase price is £100, you’ll pay four instalments of £25.
It couldn’t be any easier to buy soft and silky bedding using Clearpay:
1. Choose your favourite items from Ethical Bedding, and add to basket as usual.
2. At the checkout, select Clearpay as your payment method.
3. Quickly and easily create a Clearpay account, receive an instant application decision, and complete your purchase (first time users will only be approved for one purchase within the first 24 hours).
4. Make your first payment at the checkout, and the remaining instalments every two weeks over a six week period.
5. You’ll agree to a specific payment schedule upon approval, with all payments taken automatically from the linked card, and as long as you make payments on time, there’s no interest or additional costs to worry about.
6. You can log into your Clearpay account at any time, to either view your payment schedule or make unscheduled payments before they’re due.

Clearpay FAQs
Who is Clearpay?
Why was my payment not authorised?
I still have questions about my payment. How can I get in touch?
What if I can’t pay a Clearpay instalment?
If you can’t make a Clearpay bedding instalment on time, your account will immediately be frozen to restrict you from making further purchases using the service. You’ll then be giving until 11pm the following day to complete the payment before incurring a late fee.
If you’re not able to make the payment, you’ll incur an initial late fee of £6, with another £6 fee if the payment is still not made within seven days. If your order is £24 or more, late fees will be capped to 25% of the order value or £36 – whichever is less.
However, if you continue to fail to pay an instalment, Clearpay may pass the debt to a debt collection agency, which may restrict your ability to use Clearpay in the future.
When will my items be delivered if I use Clearpay?
